The Community Leadership Podcast Series: Innovators in Civic Engagement

Mariame Kaba is the founder and executive director of Project NIA, an organization that addresses the needs of youth in legal trouble. Since 1989, she has been active in the movement to combat violence against women and girls and is currently an adult ally and co-founder of the Rogers Park Young Women’s Action Team. She has served on several boards and is also a founding member and founding board chair of the Chicago Freedom School.
