The White House is opening its virtual doors to the public through the Office of Public Engagement (OPE). Embodying the Obama Administration’s goal of building a transparent, inclusive, and responsible government, OPE initiates a two-way dialogue between the Administration and the American public in order to bring forward new voices and encourage civic participation within an accessible government.
As part of the initiative of dialogue, OPE has recently introduced WhiteHouse.gov/Engage, a new resource that highlights available opportunities for citizens to join the conversation on national issues and inform the work of the president. The website makes communication with the White House easy by providing tools to help Americans get more involved.
Some of the opportunities to get involved that are featured on the website include:
Champions of Change
We the People
Joining Forces
Let’s Move
Open for Questions
Immigration Roundtable
Intern at the White House
Visit WhiteHouse.gov/Engage and find a way to add your voice.
